Mumbai: Doctoral Degree, popularly known as PhD, is one of the highest degrees practiced in India. In academic year 2018-19, 40,813 students were awarded PhD level degree as per All India Survey for Higher Education 2018-19. Meanwhile, nearly 1.70 lakh students enrolled at PhD level.
In India there are many universities has notified for PhD Admission for upcoming session, popularly known as January 2020. These universities or research include IITs, IIMs, NITs, IISERs, Private Universities.
The closing date for submission of application for IISc Bangalore is 31 October 2019 for Mid -Year Admission 2019. Among IITs, IIT Ropar, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Madras, Kharagpur, Guwahati , and others have opened their PhD Admission window.
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs) such as IISER Bhopal, IISER Tirupati, IISER Pune, IISER Bhopal, IISER Mohali have already notified PhD Admission for January 2020.
